Can manage billing, delete the workspace, assign any role, and access all files and settings.
Admin
Manage members and settings
Can invite and remove members, assign roles, and manage workspace settings. Cannot manage billing or delete the workspace.
Member
Day-to-day file work
Can upload, download, organize and share files externally, and delete files they uploaded. Cannot delete other people's files, manage members, change settings or see activity history.
Uploader
A common custom role
Not built in - this is the custom role people build most often. Grant upload and download, withhold sharing and deleting, and a drop-box account for a contractor or a CI job takes about a minute to set up.
Viewer
Read-only access
Can view and download files and leave comments. Cannot upload, rename, delete, or share anything.
